One of the largest Pride celebrations in the world, spanning almost the whole month. It becomes especially evident during Pride Week, taking place every June when all five boroughs of the city mark the anniversary of the Stonewall Riots of Activities include movie screenings, a rally on the Hudson River waterfront, concerts, rooftop rave parties, and a massive march through Chelsea and Greenwich Village in Lower Manhattan. One of the early events is Queens Annual Pride Parade which goes down 37th Avenue in Jackson Heights, attracting about 40, spectators. The march is followed by a street festival with live music, drag performances and food vendors.
