The SJR is a size-independent prestige indicator that ranks journals by their 'average prestige per article'. It is based on the idea that 'all citations are not created equal'. SJR is a measure of scientific influence of journals that accounts for both the number of citations received by a journal and the importance or prestige of the journals where such citations come from It measures the scientific influence of the average article in a journal, it expresses how central to the global scientific discussion an average article of the journal is. This indicator counts the number of citations received by documents from a journal and divides them by the total number of documents published in that journal. The chart shows the evolution of the average number of times documents published in a journal in the past two, three and four years have been cited in the current year. Evolution of the total number of citations and journal's self-citations received by a journal's published documents during the three previous years.

We've heard a lot about Moore's Law slowing lately, and while that does seem to be true in some cases, in other parts of the semiconductor business, there is ongoing progress. At last week's International Solid-State Circuits Conference ISSCC , the big chip trends seemed to be around deploying new materials, new techniques, and new ideas to keep pushing transistor density higher and improving on power efficiency. Of course, that isn't really news. We saw this reflected in talks about producing logic chips on new 7nm processes, on creating GB 3D NAND chips, and on a variety of new processors.
With over 9, members around the world, the IEEE Solid-State Circuits Society focuses on fabricated integrated circuit designs -- in contrast to simulated circuits and analyzed models-- for all applications using relevant materials and interconnections. The roots of the Society go back to the launch of the ISSCC in , and the debut of the JSSC in as an archive of major presentations from conferences, expanded into journal length papers.
