The body art is revealed through a striptease that comes during every stop of the tour. At a concert in Los Angeles last week, Madonna paused to reflect on a "serious" moment. The Taliban stopped her bus and shot her. Do you realize how sick that is?

The reality of growing up as a young woman in the Gaza Strip
Three young women stripped down to bikinis on a chilly day in central Moscow in support of Russian President Dmitry Medvedev and his anti-beer drive, in the latest racy campaigning ahead of elections. The female flash-mob, apparently organised by a Medvedev fan-group on Russia's top social networking site Vkontakte, may have been inspired by a rival campaign urging girls to strip in support of Prime Minister Vladimir Putin. Both leaders in Russia's ruling have said they will decide together which of them will run for president in March. Medvedev's bikini-clad supporters, encircled by cameras and photographers, invited gawking onlookers to pour out their beer into buckets, stripping off an item of clothing when the alcohol sloshed up to marks drawn on the side. It was unclear who was behind the group, with fellow activist Anna Sirotkina claiming it was a grassroots movement. There was an announcement online, and we decided to participate," said the blond-haired Sirotkina as she strutted about in black high heels. Following the strip-tease the girls dumped the beer-filled buckets down the gutter and dawned T-shirts emblazoned with the slogans: "Choose beer or us!

Selena Gomez just released the video for her latest single, "Good for You," and it's pretty steamy. The song debuted earlier this week and is the first single from her upcoming album, which will be her first with Interscope. The video starts with a shot of the year-old singer on the ground in a plain white tee, and alternates to a shot of her lying seductively on a couch and wearing a silky robelike dress. Things get extra steamy when we see Gomez nude in the shower, where she continues singing about wanting to "look good" for her man or woman. Throughout the video, she sings for the camera, making plenty of direct eye contact, and seems to get lost in deep thoughts about being loved and desired.
Jaafari law is nothing new in the Muslim world. A year-old girl is married in Baghdad, Iraq, in Jaafari law would make it legal for girls as young as 9 to be brides. Here and now, however, it would be nice if Islamic jurisprudence could follow its own lead and recognize that it is no longer the time and the place for 9-year-olds to wed, women to be raped over the course of a lifetime inside a marriage, and an entire gender to be held behind the confines of home walls until and unless a male guardian assents to their exit, and accompanies them. Those times have passed.
